DIEM

The Daily Impact Emergency Management (DIEM) Network

From Risk to Resilience

From Conflict to Transformation

From the WHAT to the HOW

DIEM is a global initiative that helps individuals, organizations and communities to overcome complex challenges by transitioning from reactive risk management to proactively building genuine resilience.

The DIEM network uses an all-inclusive, all-encompassing ‘meta’-approach that is international, pracademic, trans-generational, interactive, trans-disciplinary, and still easy to grasp. We use scenario-based exercises in connection with the NUR framework (Nine Universal Roadblocks), developed by founder Eelco H. Dykstra following decades of transdisciplinary research.

It does so by sharing frameworks and methodologies that lead to:

  • Co-Ownership of Problems
  • Co-Creation of Solutions
  • Co-Development of Projects

Our partners, participants and clients can thus:

  1. Recognize recurring patterns of fragmentation and lack-of-impact that show up across vastly different sectors and contexts;
  2. Benefit from working with the Peer-Review Panels to elevate recommendations to actionable and bankable projects and project proposals.

In case you’d like to know more about how DIEM supports and conducts interactive events (presentations, lectures, workshops, seminars, briefings and full-scale symposia), designs scenario exercises and shares practical tools that turn resilience thinking into practical use, do not hesitate to reach out!

Expert Network

We’re interested in proactive individuals and organisations who are interested in dealing with future-oriented, complex issues, have a willingness to explore new avenues, possess an international orientation, and practical experience to focus on creating cross-connections. We organize Solution-Finding Sessions in close collaboration with participants in the DIEM Network and respond to external requests in the form of On-Demand Research projects.

Primary Research Group

DIEM offers, aside from its On-Demand Research projects, a variety of Solution-Finding Sessions that use DIEM’s Focused Feedback Methodology. This methodology creates a sense of co-ownership, not only for the gap-analysis but particularly for the search for solutions. DIEM offers Lectures, Seminars, Masterclasses, Workshops and (online) Symposia that are organised in close collaboration with our partners in the DIEM Expert Network.
